3. Quotes, Estimates and Orders
3.1 Quotes
Any quotation we provide is valid for 30 days unless we state otherwise in writing.
3.2 Estimates
Any estimate is a guide only and is not a fixed price.
3.3 Acceptance
A contract is formed when you accept our quote in writing, verbally confirm you want us to proceed, book the work, or ask us to start work.
3.4 Basis of Quote
All prices are based on the information available at the time, including photos and information you provide, any survey or inspection carried out by us, visible site conditions, and reasonable assumptions about access and the existing system.
3.5 Website and Marketing Material
Images, product descriptions, estimated finance figures, service descriptions and website wording are for general guidance only and do not form part of a binding contract unless specifically included in your quotation.
4. Fixed Price Quotations
4.1 What a fixed price means
A fixed price quotation only covers the work, labour, materials and scope specifically listed in the quotation.
4.2 Standard assumptions
Unless we state otherwise in writing, a fixed price quotation is based on the following assumptions:
- the existing installation is reasonably accessible;
- the current gas, water and electrical services are suitable and safe for the proposed work;
- no hidden defects or non-compliant work are discovered;
- the flue route and condensate route are suitable under standard conditions;
- there is safe and reasonable access to all work areas;
- the work can be completed in one continuous program without avoidable delay; and
- existing system components not listed for replacement remain serviceable.
4.3 Not included unless specifically stated
Unless expressly included in writing, a fixed price quotation does not include:
- gas pipe upgrades, rerouting or increases in pipe size;
- upgrades to the gas supply required to meet current regulations or appliance requirements;
- electrical upgrades, rewiring, new fused spurs, consumer unit works, earthing, bonding or electrical remedial works;
- flue changes, plume kits, vertical flues, extended flue runs, specialist flue parts, roof work or chimney works not identified before works begin;
- scaffold, tower access, lifting equipment or specialist access equipment;
- awkward access costs or external access requirements beyond normal safe ladder access;
- condensate rerouting, soakaways, condensate pumps or frost protection upgrades unless listed;
- repairs to hidden, unsafe, defective or non-compliant pipework, fittings, valves, controls, radiators, pumps, cylinders or other components not identified before works begin;
- repairing leaks, sludge issues, circulation faults, seized valves, frozen pipework, blockages or poor existing system performance caused by pre-existing defects;
- powerflushing, chemical flushing, system cleansing, filter upgrades or water treatment beyond what is listed in the quote;
- shower compatibility issues with a newly installed boiler unless specifically assessed and confirmed by us in writing;
- asbestos testing, asbestos removal, hazardous waste handling or specialist disposal;
- joinery, boxing-in, patch plastering, decorating, tiling, flooring, making good or cosmetic reinstatement;
- removal of unexpected obstructions or opening up concealed areas;
- structural works to walls, floors, ceilings, cupboards, units, hearths or worktops;
- parking permits, suspension fees, tolls, clean air charges or other access costs; and
- additional works requested after the original quote has been accepted.
4.4 Unforeseen works
If we discover extra work is required, we will tell you as soon as reasonably possible. Any additional work or materials will be charged separately unless we confirm otherwise in writing.
4.5 Safety-related works
Where extra work is necessary for safety, compliance, correct installation or to prevent damage, the original fixed price will not apply to that extra work unless it was clearly included in the original quote.
5. Access, Property Conditions and Customer Responsibilities
You agree that:
- you are aged 18 or over;
- you are the property owner or have the owner’s authority to instruct us;
- the information you provide is accurate and complete;
- safe and reasonable access will be available on the agreed date;
- the work area will be clear and reasonably ready for us to begin work;
- mains gas, water and electricity will be available where reasonably required;
- we will be told in advance about any known defects, leaks, hazards, asbestos concerns, access restrictions, permit requirements, vulnerable occupants or pets; and
- you will remove or protect valuables, fragile items and belongings near the work area.
If access is not available, site conditions are unsafe, or the information provided is inaccurate or incomplete, we may rearrange the work and charge for wasted time, additional visits or additional labour where reasonable.
6. Boiler Installation Terms
6.1 Installation standard
We will install the boiler and associated components in accordance with the agreed quotation, relevant regulations, and manufacturer instructions.
6.2 Disruption
Installation work may involve interruption to heating, hot water, gas, electricity or water supplies during the works.
6.3 Existing system risk
New boilers are connected to existing systems. We are not responsible for pre-existing faults, failures or weaknesses in your existing heating, hot water, gas, electrical or plumbing systems that were not caused by our workmanship.
6.4 Decorative works
Boiler installation is not a decorating or refurbishment service. Unless specifically included in writing, making good, redecorating and cosmetic reinstatement are not included.
6.5 Registration
Where applicable and once the account is settled in full, we will register the installation with Gas Safe and the manufacturer if that forms part of the installation package.
7. Boiler Servicing Terms
7.1 Nature of a service
A boiler service is a routine maintenance and safety check. It is not a repair, strip-down diagnostic investigation of every possible fault, or a guarantee that all current or future faults will be identified.
7.2 Unsafe situations
If we identify unsafe conditions, defects or non-compliant work during a service, we will advise you and may classify the appliance in line with Gas Safe procedures where required.
7.3 Additional remedial works
Any repair or remedial work identified during a service is not included unless separately quoted.
8. Boiler Repair Terms
8.1 Diagnosis
Repair work is based on the symptoms and information available at the time of attendance. Further faults may only become apparent once testing, strip-down or replacement of failed parts has taken place.
8.2 Further faults
A successful repair of one fault does not guarantee that other existing or future faults will not arise.
8.3 Parts
Where replacement parts are needed, availability depends on manufacturers and suppliers, timescales may change, and extra faults discovered during repair may change the final price.
8.4 Customer-supplied parts
We do not provide any guarantee for customer-supplied parts, products or materials, except for the installation labour itself where applicable.
9. Landlord Gas Safety Certificates
We will carry out the inspection and issue certification where the installation meets the relevant standards at the time of inspection. Any remedial works required to achieve compliance are not included unless separately quoted.
10. Thermostats, Controls and Smart Devices
Where we install a thermostat or heating control, basic installation and commissioning is included unless otherwise stated.
Unless specifically included in writing, the following are not included:
- ongoing app support;
- broadband or Wi-Fi troubleshooting;
- router configuration;
- smart home integration with third-party devices; and
- third-party software or account issues.
11. Central Heating and Plumbing Work
Quotes for central heating or plumbing work only cover the items and scope specifically listed.
Hidden defects, buried pipework problems, pre-existing workmanship issues, sludge-related issues, leaking joints, seized valves, blocked pipework, or non-compliant existing installations are not included unless clearly identified and quoted for.
If we are asked to carry out a flush or system cleanse, you accept that this process can expose pre-existing weaknesses or faults in older systems.
12. Changes to Work and Additional Work
If you ask us to change the agreed scope of work, we will let you know whether this is possible and what effect it will have on price and timing.
Any extra labour, materials, visits or changes outside the agreed quotation may be charged separately.
13. Payments
13.1 Payment terms
As no deposit is taken through the website, payment terms will be set out in your quotation, invoice or written agreement with us.
13.2 When payment is due
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is due immediately on completion of the work or on the date shown on the invoice.
13.3 Late payment
If payment is overdue, we may suspend further non-urgent work or return visits, pause paperwork or warranty administration until payment is made, and recover reasonable costs of collection where legally permitted.
13.4 Ownership of goods
Goods and materials supplied by us remain our property until paid for in full, to the extent permitted by law.
14. Appointments, Delays and Rearrangement
We will use reasonable efforts to attend on the agreed date and within the agreed timeframe, but exact arrival times cannot be guaranteed.
We are not liable for delay caused by matters outside our reasonable control, including traffic, weather, illness, supplier delays, emergency call-outs, unsafe conditions or events outside our control.
If you need to rearrange an appointment, please give as much notice as possible.
We may charge for missed appointments, failed access or aborted visits where we attend as agreed but cannot reasonably proceed.
15. Your Right to Cancel
15.1 Cooling-off rights
If the contract is made online, by phone, by email, or off-premises, you may have a legal right to cancel within 14 days.
15.2 If you ask us to start early
If you ask us to start work within the 14-day cancellation period, you expressly agree that if the work is fully completed during that period, you may lose your right to cancel, and if you cancel after work has started, you may have to pay for the work and materials supplied up to the cancellation point.
15.3 How to cancel
To cancel, you should notify us clearly by email or in writing.
16. Workmanship Guarantee and Manufacturer Warranty
16.1 Workmanship guarantee
We provide a 12-month workmanship guarantee on our repair labour and installation labour, starting from the date of completion.
16.2 What our workmanship guarantee does not cover
Our workmanship guarantee does not apply to faults caused by misuse, neglect, accidental damage, fair wear and tear, sludge, scale, corrosion, poor system water quality, faults in existing components not installed by us, or work carried out, altered or interfered with by others after our attendance.
16.3 Boiler and thermostat manufacturer warranty
Boilers, thermostats and other appliances or controls supplied by us are covered by the relevant manufacturer warranty, subject to that manufacturer’s own terms, registration requirements, eligibility rules and servicing conditions.
16.4 Warranty labour exclusions
Where a manufacturer supplies a replacement part or replacement product under warranty, labour for diagnosis, removal, refitting, re-attendance or associated remedial work may still be chargeable unless expressly covered in writing.
17. Complaints and Defects
If you are unhappy with any work carried out by us, you must contact us as soon as reasonably possible and give us a fair opportunity to inspect and, where appropriate, rectify the issue.
Except in a genuine emergency, you should not instruct another contractor to alter or rectify our work before giving us that opportunity.
18. Liability
18.1 Our responsibility
We are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our breach of contract or failure to use reasonable care and skill.
18.2 Not included
We are not responsible for:
- pre-existing faults, weaknesses or defects in your heating, plumbing, gas, electrical or drainage systems;
- faults exposed by flushing, testing, strip-down or reconnection of existing systems;
- failure of existing showers, controls or accessories to operate with a newly installed boiler unless compatibility was specifically confirmed by us in writing;
- delays or losses caused by matters outside our reasonable control; and
- business losses where we are supplying domestic services to a private consumer.
18.3 Existing property condition
We are not responsible for pre-existing damage in or to the property that we discover while carrying out the work.
18.4 Legal rights
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory consumer rights.
19. Photos and Records
We may take photographs of appliances, pipework, controls, system components and completed works for job records, safety, warranty registration and dispute resolution purposes.
We will not use identifiable customer images for marketing without permission.
20. Data Protection
We will handle personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
21. General
If any part of these Terms and Conditions is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.
These Terms and Conditions, together with any accepted quotation, form the agreement between you and us, subject to your statutory rights.
No variation is binding unless agreed in writing.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the law of England and Wales.
Short Fixed Price Terms for Quote Funnel / Boiler Pages

Unless specifically included, they do not cover gas pipe upgrades, electrical upgrades, hidden defects, non-compliant existing systems, asbestos, scaffold or specialist access equipment, builder’s work, making good, flue route changes, condensate alterations, existing system faults, or other unforeseen remedial work. If extra work is required, we will discuss it with you before proceeding.
